Meet staff member Peter
Peter Levarre-Waters is a Family Service Advisor at Pinegrove Memorial Park.
Peter has more than 30 years’ experience in serving customers, which he has gained in a variety of roles. To meet the needs of the clients of Pinegrove Memorial Park, and to give them the care that they need, Peter treats each person as one of his own.
"I treat the families that come to me as if they’re part of my family, and I treat each individual the same way I want to be treated,” Peter says.
There’s a lot for a Family Service Advisor to do each time they meet with a family. They provide care, sympathy and understanding at a difficult time in a family’s life. They need to be able to listen so that they understand what the family needs. And they need to be able to provide guidance and counsel regarding the family’s options.
"I really enjoy interacting with families here at Pinegrove. When I help them during a time of need, helping them design a fitting memorial for a lost loved one, they get a great sense of peace by the time they leave: it makes this a really satisfying job,” says Peter.
Understandably, not everyone has experience in creating a memorial.
Peter says: “Our customers are looking for help, guidance and assistance in an area that they don’t understand. Pinegrove has so much choice and this sometimes comes as a surprise to people; they often think that they’ll have no say in the final tribute to a family member.”
And out of all the memorial options at Pinegrove, which one does he have his eye on for his own memorial?
“A family vault inside one of our mausoleums is where I want to rest.”
